Smart BioPatch (智能感染防控贴 - CRBSI)
Smart BioPatch (intelligent catheter - CRBSI) health technology is committed to providing disruptive products and solutions for healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) such as catheter-related bloodstream infections (CRBSI) and surgical site infections (SSI). Becoming a global leader in providing comprehensive solutions and products for HAI.
The project originated from Stanford University in the United States. The Stanford BioDesign Program proposed CRBSI, a global unmet clinical need. The founding team independently developed and owns complete global technology patents, and obtained approximately RMB 50 million in angel investment from professional VCs in China and the United States.
We are applying for China's NMPA Class II and III medical device certification, the U.S. FDA certification and drug regulatory access certification in other countries and regions around the world. We have completed the health economics research on medical-related infections and are actively expanding the global market.
Market potential: over $10 billion, replacing 80% of wound care products
Extended application areas, broader space: minimally invasive, simple, efficient, intelligent
Prevention and control of catheter-related bloodstream infections: unmet clinical needs
Catheter-Related Bloodstream Infection (CRBSI) is a bloodstream infection caused by a device inserted percutaneously into a blood vessel.
-Cancer chemotherapy: PICC, PIV
-Intensive care: CVC, PICC, thermodilution catheter, oxygen saturation catheter, etc.
- Renal failure hemodialysis, parenteral nutrition support
- All major surgeries
Europe and the United States: Zero tolerance, but have no choice but to tolerate it
-CRBSI incidence: 5.3 thousand catheter-days, mortality: 25-35%
- It will cost the U.S. healthcare system an additional $20-30 billion per year
-Strict regulations, monitoring, reporting, disclosure and rating systems
-Strict reward and punishment system and insurance payment regulations
- Medical insurance does not reimburse, patients do not pay, and the hospital bears the relevant expenses
