Stephen has over 40 years of experience in the IT industry with 30 years plus in the PRC market in the channel and alliance management; he has extensive working knowledge and exposure in both the vendor/partner organizations (MNC/Local) sides. Stephen’s expertise was building and growing distribution and reseller channel and he has earned the trust and reputation in China channel community. He is “a strong communicator”, “action-oriented”, “strategic thinker” and “someone you can trust to get the job done”.

 

In addition to working for global tech giants like IBM and Sun Microsystems, Stephen also worked for partner organization Avnet (NYSE:AVT) as their China GM; and help establishing their distribution network from ground zero. Hence, he was exposed to “both sides of the world” to better understand the Vendors and Partners’ business imperatives and motivation. Working for Vastdata Beijing gave Stephen the golden opportunity to learn the unique ecosystem of the local Chinese IT market back in 80’s & 90’.Subsequently, China Comservic invited Stephen the path back to Hong Kong after years working on the mainland. 

 

Stephen graduated from the University of Hong Kong with a Bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering.
